About This Item
1975. First American Edition. Hardcover & Dust Jacket. Near Fine in Very Good (or Better) DJ. DJ in mylar, no tears to speak of, not price clipped, tho the only crease (tiny) folds neatly over the price should you choose to conceal it. The book itself appears new and unread but for the following: an orderly, small, lone "H" in (actual?) gold paint or pen, indelible traces of a once penciled price on fep, almost imperceptible bleeding from what appears to be the original coloring of the top edge onto the half- and title page. As this long neglected book now appears to be collectible, we will gladly provide images. Bursting with experimental typography, this is likely to be Le Clezio's most lasting work. Neither science fiction, nor post-Nouveau Roman, it is a blast from "the far side of language," bending French much like Virginia Woolf reinvented Greek in The Waves. At a price falling from the shoulders of dwarves.
