Today she is a woman in her late twenties, using her full name, Arlene, and she has just gotten out of jail. Getting Out records her first day "outside" - a day filled with confusion and fright, hope and disappointment. Arlene has just arrived at her new apartment, reading to begin a new life free from her hurtful past. Bust escape from her past is not easy..." This volume also includes the cast list from the original production at the Actor's Threatre in Louisville on November 3, 1977. There is another cast list from the first New York production at the Phoenix Theatre on October 19, 1978. Kevin Bacon and Barry Corbin were among the cast members.
