S. 33 - Umfangreiche von Ludwig Abafi (1840-1909) dokumentierte Geschichte der Freimaurerei in Österreich-Ungarn, die in insgesamt 5 Bänden in einzelnen Heften erschienen ist. Die vorliegenden beiden Bände enthalten die Hefte 1-16, die Bände III-V liegen als Reprints (2005) bei. - Ludwig Aigner trat 1870 der Loge "Corvin Mátyás" in Budapest bei, er war Verlagsbuchhändler und "einer der fruchtbarsten freimaurerischen Literaten" (Lennhoff/Posner). Band I thematisiert die Zeit von 1726-1760 bzw. 1761-1771 und einige in dieser Zeit gegründete Logen, Band II verzeichnet daran anschließend den Zeitraum von 1772-75. Die Reprint-Bände umfassen schließlich den Zeitraum von 1778-1785.
