Plomteux, 1771. Leather Binding. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. A delightful small 18th-century French edition of Virgil in a period binding. Bound in full brown 18th-century speckled calf, spine with raised bands, red morocco label, and gilt floral tooling, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers (some rubbing to spine tips, corners and edges; front outer hinge starting; ome wear to text edges; ink inscription). Remains of the bookplate of Charles Carron.
