Philadelphia, New York: J.B. Lippincott Company, 1943. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Biography of an actor who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Stated first edition. No writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. Pages have yellowed a bit, and there is some discoloration on the endpapers. Dust jacket is not price-clipped but does have some discoloration on the back cover as well as two 1/2" to 3/4" tears along the bottom edge, one 1/4" tear along the upper edge, and some microtears. This collectible, very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
