1931. GOLDBERG, Isaac. GEORGE GERSHWIN, A STUDY IN AMERICAN MUSIC. New York: Simon and Schuster, 1931. First edition. Illustrated. [xii],305 pp. Octavo, blue cloth, spine lettered and decorated in silver-gilt with printed red labels, Gershwin's facsimile signature in silver gilt on upper board, photo-illustrated endpapers, top-edge stained grey. Ex-library, a bookplate at front pastedown but no other marks. The silver-gilt is flaking at the top of the spine, and the bottom edges of the boards show slight shelfwear, else clean and very good. The photo-illustrated dust jacket is present but in pieces; it is quite worn and heavily chipped, torn and creased, and separarting at folds.
