Verlag Freies Geistesleben Stuttgart, 1963 Cloth, Imperial 8vo. 2nd ed. 142pp. text + 411 figures. Grey boards with black letters at front & spine. Fine copy in like dust jacket. Pages unmarked. "Geometry as a language of forms is a brilliant work by Hermann von Baravalle - a work that builds geometry (according to Euclid) without any numbers. All the characters in his book (which are explained wonderfully and are also sorted by chapter) can be used in every school class. Be it the basics of geometry; as well as the extension of the circle and the angles (the angles don't matter much, since you can work completely without angles - only with rulers (without numbers) and compasses - which are dealt with specifically in classes 5 and 6. But the S.d.P, congruence, rotation, hyperbolas, parabolas, etc. are all wonderfully present. Above all, the division of the circle and how to create a circle without the hassle and inaccurate use of the geo-triangle and what great figures can be developed from it (in the direction of optical illusions). All in one: The book is highly recommended.". 2nd Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Fine.
