Regarded by Summers as a "complementary volume" to his 'History of Witchcraft and Demonology'. In this volume, he offers a detailed region by region survey of the "witchcraft epidemic" or witch craze as it effected Greece and Rome, England, Scotland, New England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
