Brown leather with red leather title label on spine; gilt lettering and 5 gilt bands. 360 pp. with folding frontis world map and 1 additional folding map (North America). "For the use of schools and academies in the United States of America." From the 16th Boston edition. Covers the elements of geograhpy and much more, including globes, the Harvest Moon, vapors and clouds, religions, divisions of time, tides, eclipses, measures, etc. Locations still include Indiana Territory, Mississippi Territory, and Spanish America, etc. as well as Prussia, Austrian Dominions, (no Finland), Hindoostan, Assam, Abyssinia, States of Barbary, and more obsolete political entities.
