Hardcover. both books very good in red cloth boards, no jackets as issued, encased in publisher's original slipcase; minor fading to spines, gentle wear to spine ends, bookplate on front pastedown of each book else each a tight square unmarked copy; slipcase shows considerable wear to edges with some reinforcement via clear tape; 1946 reprint edition with some additional recipes included that had been laid in the books
