First edition of The Genius and the Goddess by Aldous Huxley in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper.It is set in contemporary Britain, and follows the protagonist John Rivers and his experiences with the Maartens family after he is hired to assist Henry Maartens as a laboratory assistant. It is both moving and dramatic, with both irony and compassion.Aldous Huxley was a prolific English writer of novels and philosophy, and his bibliography spans nearly fifty books. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart. There is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some spotting to the fore edge. To the dust wrapper, there is some light wear to the extremities and some spotting. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
