Amsterdam: Allert De Lange, 1940. Scarce first edition in German [Treverton 877] of his sixth and final "Jungle Novel." Preceded only by a Swedish-language edition published in Stockholm in 1939. First printing with 416 pages. Not published in the UK until 1954 nor the U.S. until 1972. Tan, rough cloth boards stamped in brown on front and spine; top edge reddish brown. Mild bump to lower rear spine corner otherwise fine in bright, fine dust jacket with just a touch of minor wear. A scarce book due to its war-time publication, especially in dust jacket and this nice condition.
