Gilt embossed titles to the spine enclosed with a gilt frame, The map is rare and shows the line of the old Roman wall and dites of old battle-fields. The full title reads....' A general history of Stirlingshire : containing an account of the ancient monuments, and most important and curious transactions in that shire, from the Roman invasion of Scotland, to the present times; with the natural history of the shire'.
