A VERY RARE AND GENUINE DATE-STAMPED 1911 EDITION (THE ONLY 1911 I CAN FIND), NOW 112 YEARS OLD AND IN LOVELY CONDITION
HERE ARE "SOME" OF THE SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: THE ORIGIN OF FREEMASONRY, SECRECY, INITIATION, MYTHOLOGY, GODDESSES, ANGELS, THE LUMINARIES OF HEAVEN, METAPHYSICAL SCIENCE, THE ALL SEEING EYE, THE RITE OF ILLUMINATION, ANCIENT CEREMONIES, MASTER MASONRY, THE ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE, THE MYSTERIES OF FREEMASONRY, THE CREATOR AND CREATION, JACOB'S VISION, HEAVEN, THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE, IMMORTALITY, ANCIENT EGYPT, THE ORPHIC MYSTERIES, DIVINE WISDOM, THE DIVINE ARTIST, THE BOOK OF KINGS, THE CHILDREN OF DARKNESS, EGYPTIAN MASONRY, THE CROWN OF STARS, THE GRAND MASTERS, MYSTICISM, AND MORE
INCLUDING HISTORY THAT DATES BACK TO THE 15TH CENTURY (THE 1400'S)
"The universe is the temple of the Deity whom we serve: Wisdom, Strength, and Beauty are about His throne as pillars of His work; for His wisdom is infinite, His strength is omnipotent, and His beauty shines forth through all His creation in symmetry and order."
"Hence, there is in Speculative Masonry always progress, symbolized by its peculiar ceremonies of initiation.
There is an advancement from a lower to a higher state of darkness to light -from death to life, from error to truth. The candidate is always ascending; he is never stationary; he never goes back, but each step he takes brings him to some new mental illumination--to the knowledge of some more elevated doctrine. The teaching of the Divine Master is, in respect to this continual progress, the teaching of Masonry."
It is an exceptionally rare 1911 edition and the only one from this print year I can locate from any known institution. It contains an extensive compendium of masonic history, occultism, and even metaphysical passages that discuss many esoteric and mystical subjects. Bound in beautiful blue cloth stamped with gold embellishments, it is undoubtedly a showpiece of a book.
The General Ahiman Rezon is a book that holds significance in Freemasonry. It is considered one of the key texts of the fraternity, providing guidance and information about its rituals, ceremonies, and organization. "Ahiman Rezon" is of Hebrew origin and roughly translates to "the will of selected brethren."
The overall condition of this book is very good for being printed over 110 years ago. It has some normal shelf wear and age but is very well-kept. Overall, it is a lovely book and scarce to find from this print year.
