Profusely illustrated with wonderful tipped-in full-color plates. Critical-biographical study of the impressionist Paul Gauguin, with fine color plates on almost every other page. Text in French.. Former owner's name and date (Christmas, 1953) on ffep, covers mildly soiled, else fine; otherwise unmarked, tight, square, and clean.
