Presentation inscription in ink on the front free fly leaf by the author and dated "Jan. 15, 1948." newspaper clipping with author's photograph from. the Corpus Christi Caller-Times newspaper about the publication of his book affixed to the front free fly leaf under his inscription, and on the reverse of this page opposite the title page is fixed a paragraph about Fowlerton from Ludeman's book on LaSalle County. Light blue cloth, gold stamping on front cover and spine, 181 pp. "Anecdotes and sketches of Texas cowboys, Rangers, sheriffs, wild cattle, wild horses and gun and game. Written by a native Texan from the experiences of over fifty years in the Lone Star state." ..... from the text. Six Guns 1615 says, "A little-known book containing some stories of Texas bad men. The author tells one incident about Billy the kid I have not seen elsewhere." Herd 1675 says "Scarce." Good firsthand account of ranching in Pearsall, and Frio County and South Texas wild game and hunting. The author was a San Patricio County justice of the peace and his stories include names places and dates. Old bump to two front corners, covers lightly used else a good copy of a scarce item.
