Wien: Artur Wolf, 1917. Hardcover. 1/50. Folio. 10 plates in gilt stamped marbled boards portfolio with tan cloth spine and decorated flaps. Raised title. Each plate is separated by stiff green paper. Title page attached to map with b/w facsimile drawing by Deutsch. Eight inches of title page loose along inside gutter but still attached. Signed by the artist on colophon. 10 facsimiles of hand colored drawings by Ernst Deutsch (1887-1938). Deutsch was one of the most famous fashion designers and commercial artists of the 20th Century. In 1933 he emigrated to America and became one of the best-known Hollywood fashion designers. One of 50 copies signed by him. Map in good, plates in very good condition. Head and tail of spine slightly frayed. Discoloration to boards. Wear to corners and edges of boards. Small Ex-libris sticker to inside of front board.
