Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Book has a forward lean.

(I'd always understood "Auld Reekie" to be a dismissive nickname referring to the effects of the smoky peat fires of the Old Town tenements. Milne identifies it as a localised variant of effectively the same attributes as the more formal 'Edinburgh': aodann;brae and bruch;hill for the one and Alt:high place (Irish Gaelic) and ruighe;slope. 'Dunedin' similarly links in with the same aodann preced by dun;hill. Tha sinn beò agus ag ionnsachadh!)
