Fore-edge and the first few pages affected by some very light foxing, otherwise a very good copy of this attractive edition. Publishers orange cloth with black lettering to the spine and front board. Small gilt stamped school badge to the front board. School prize label, dated 1942, on the front free endpaper. In the scarce original colour illustrated dustwrapper. A couple of small chips to the edge of the wrapper and the spine a bit toned but overall in very good condition.

This rare volume includes all 12 months of the 1802 year, which was it's very first year of the publication of The Christian Observer.

Brown and black swirl patterned calf binding. Black title plate, gilt banding and title on the spine. Gilt decorative edging on both boards. Plates by Robert Branston.
