The spirit which has led to organization of one of the world's most distinguised groups of war artist-correspondents to give authenticity and conviciton to those contributions. It is both the spirit and the slogan of Abbott's great new promotional program for the second six months of 1944. Of the value of this spirit in the prosecution of the War, we submit this, our second volume this year featuring war publicity originated for Abbbott advertising and adopted by the Government of the United States for official use. Of its value in gaining interest and reader acceptance for Abbott advertising in a difficult time, we cite the new advertising presented on the pages that follow and leave judgement to you." This appealing item tilts heavily toward Abbott's war publicity. No individual appears to have been given design credit for this item. Abbott used the war posters as the face of a lot of their advertising with material about their products appearing on the other side or on following pages. Abbott also continued to advertise in medical, dental and hospital publications and to supply promotional materials to doctors, dentists and pharmacists. The material in the pocket at the back makes us believe that "Full Speed Ahead" was produced to be shown by Abbott Representatives to their customers (pharmacists, etc.) in hopes that Abbott's patriotism and war posters would help sell customers on Abbott and Abbott products.
