Good/No jacket as issued. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. 16mo., viii, 9-248, 4pp., illustrated with 24 steel engraved plates and engraved title page. Bound in publisher's quarter leather with paper over boards. Cover title with engraving on front board. Title in gilt on spine. Spine leather has a closed, 2 inch tear, ending at the title. Boards rubbed. Light browning throughout. 11 plates present, lacking 13 plates. A good copy of the scarce American edition, sadly lacking plates.
