The first US edition. The first US omnibus edition of this work, comprising four of Winston Churchill's early war books. Covering the life of the man as a soldier and war correspondent, including edited editions of The Malakand Field Force; The River War; 'London to Ladysmith' and 'Ian Hamilton's March.' Complete in its unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated with maps and plans. In the original publisher's binding over paper covered boards. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Minor handling mark to the fore edge, otherwise the pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with maps and plans. Fine
