Different binding than Vol. I. Handwritten notes on rear endpapers. Split along spine on front-and back board but firmly holding. Text in Gothic script. Binding in fair, interior in overall very good condition. Different editions but same publisher. 2 volumes containing selected letters by the German philosopher Friedrich Heinrich Jacobi (1743-1819), who is noted for coining the term nihilism.
