First 86 pages contain Franklin's autobiography, and after that, 40 pages continuing that life story by his friend Dr. Stuber. Extracts from Last Will of Dr. Franklin, in which he leaves his fine crab-tree walking stick to General Washington. Also included are humorous, moral and literary essays by Franklin: Of Early Marriages, on the death of his brother; to the Late Dr. Mather; ""The Whistle"" a true story, written to his nephew; Handsome and Deformed Leg, a morality lesson for carpers and complainers. Also, The Art of Procuring Pleasant Dreams; Advice to a Young Tradesman; Necessary Hints to those that would be Rich; The Way to Make Money Plenty in Every Man's Pocket; An Economical Project-- a lecture to the people of Paris, about saving daylight, and saving candles.
