Philadelphia: John C. Winston, 1896. Hardcover. Very Good. Hardcover in pale green cloth lettered in black and with color litho illustration featuring the title character and the Brooklyn Bridge tipped onto front board. 335 pp. Carries only the 1896 copyright date but this edition presumed to be somewhat later (late 19th century?); we have also seen a similarly decorated cover featuring the Statue of Liberty in the background. About very good with rubbing to the extremities and a bit to the front board. Ownership signature dated Dec. 25, 1914 on front free endpaper. Tight but with the usual embrowning to the text.
