8vo, xvi, 359 pp, 16pp advertisements. Illustrated from Nature by the Author with a frontispiece, 11 plates, numerous wood cut engravings in the text.

[with] the separately matched binding supplement. The supplement, Chiefly concerning salmon and trout, and the flies to take them. Containing the beautiful tissue guarded hand colored frontispiece depicting 24 colored flies. 8vo, vi, 86 pp, 3 tables at rear.

Original publisher's red gilt cloth, spine titled in gilt, upper cover with gilt vignette of fish. A few small spots on front board of the first volume; gilt somewhat tarnished on spines of both volumes.
