Folio. 317 (1)pp. Original brown clothe with blind-stamped lettering to cover and spine in original pictorial dustjacket, housed in paper-covered, pictorial slipcase over brown cloth boards. Tan endpapers. Frontispiece. "arising from the profound historical and cultural roots and from the intimate preoccupations and predilections of the artist, the creative art of Zuñiga proffers itself in the nude, trying to give visual and objective embodiment to some of the fundamental values of Latin America being" (Echeverria). Some excerpts from conversations with Zuñiga provide a wide spectrum of his views and approach to art, his inspirations and motivations. Profusely illustrated with full page offset reproductions of his sculptures and drawings in color and b/w, captioned in Spanish and English. Laid in two announcements in color and one short b/w catalog for exhibitions at the Brewster Gallery, New York. Text in Spanish and English. Slipcase with light wear and some scuffing of back, very light wear to dustjacket. Slipcase and dustjacket in overall very good, binding and interior in fine condition.
