London: Smith, Elder & Co., 1869. 362 pages. Frontispiece illustrated with oval portrait and tisue facing. Additional 15 illustrations in text. Some pages darkening a bit at edges, bottom corners stained from 101 to 222, otherwise pages good condition. Page 224-5 lighlty worn and coming loose at spine. Brown endpapers show some wear at spines and edges. Previous owner's book plate on front paste down endpaper. Green cloth with gilt illustration and border on upper cover with embossed decoration. Gilt borders and decorationns with gilt title on spine. Head/tail ofspine and corners all lightly worn, bumped. Beveled edges. Handsome cover and spine. VG. Hard Cover.
