In an old hand on title page: "ex libris Congregationis Missionis domus Burdigalensis Catalogo inscriptus." Short inscription on front fixed endpaper. The author, Pierre Collet (1693-1770), wrote this biography following the beatification in 1729 and canonization in 1737 of St. Vincent de Paul (1581-1660). Rare 12 page paperback booklet/pamphlet published by Theological Students Fellowship Affiliated to the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship in Leicester England in the 1970's. The author is Dr. Kenneth A. Kitchen, Reader in Egyptian & Coptic in the School of Archaeology & Oriental Studies at the University of Liverpool. He reviews Professor Bright's "History of Israel" which was extensively revised in 1972. Kenneth Kitchen states that John Bright's work is the standard of its kind and far outstrips in quality, balance, and sanity other works in the field.
