Translated into English by Ruth and Thomas Martin from the libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. (1952), second edition. Published in the G. Schirmer Collection of Opera Librettos. Also contains an outline of the story, a cast of characters and synopsis of the scenes. No previous ownership marks. A clean, tight and unmarked copy. Mild finger soiling to white lettering on front cover. Near fine. Includes separate Metropolitan Opera "playbill" like magazine with first article on La Forza del Destino. Color paper cover, staple bound. 36 pages. Very good. .
