"Composition of 249th Artillery, Oregon National Guard, when inducted into federal service 16 September 1940". Pre-fort history in the early chapters goes back to 1792. This fort at the mouth of the Columbia River was built during the Civil War. A couple of dime-sized stains & some other light stains to bottom of front covers. Thick binding is slanted somewhat. Vg copy.
