Acetate dust jacket. No other signatures or bookplates. Number 142 of an unspecified number, signed by Louis A. Holmes with a signature laid down. Laid in loose is a one page note from Johnsen Publishing Company stating: "At the request of the publisher, Louis A. Holmes had agreed to autograph the numbered copies of this edition of Fort McPherson, Nebraska. His sudden death on the eve of publication made this impossible. As a tribute to his memory and as a means of carrying this work to completion in accordance with his plans, members of his family have provided the publisher with signatures from Mr. Holmes' papers. One of these is attached to his volume." Printed by Lawton Kennedy.. Signed by Author(s). Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good.
