London: William Heinemann, 1922. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Very good. 1/275 numbered copies of which the first 250 were SIGNED and sold in the United Kingdom. The last 25 copies were SIGNED and for presentation. This is one of the presentation copies and is number 252. Galsworthy has SIGNED it on the limitation page and has additionally signed and inscribed on Nov. 16, 1922 on the front endpaper. Some wear to the head of the spine and the top board eges else a very good copy with clean text and sound binding. Bound in green leather. No dustjacket.
Synopsis
The Forsyte Saga is a series of three novels and two interludes published between 1906 and 1921 by John Galsworthy. They chronicle the vicissitudes of the leading members of an upper-middle-class British family. Only a few generations removed from their farmer ancestors, the family members are keenly aware of their status as "new money".
