A Very Good book in a Very Good dust jacket. 8vo., 188 pp., bound in publishers red cloth with red and tan dust jacket. SIGNED by author and previous owner, George C. Wing, Jr. on end paper , dated January 4, 1939. The dust jacket has overall toning and light soiling, edges and tips are worn, price clipped. Gilt on cover and spine have darkened, previous owners bookplate inside front cover, otherwise clean and unmarked. Dust jacket now protected in mylar sleeve. Nathan Roscoe Pound (October 27, 1870 - June 30, 1964) was an American legal scholar and educator. He served as Dean of the University of Nebraska College of Law from 1903 to 1911 and Dean of Harvard Law School from 1916 to 1936. He was a member of Northwestern University, the University of Chicago Law School and the faculty at UCLA School of Law in the school's early years, from 1949 to 1952. The Journal of Legal Studies has identified Pound as one of the most cited legal scholars of the 20th century. - Wiki.
