Volume I is about fine with very light dust soil along the edges; Vol. II about fine with the corner tips worn and light edge soil. Two volumes both later printings, prior to the publication of the next 2 volumes (III & IV). Pp. 260 & 254. Volume I- All aspects of military activities in Alaska and northwestern Canada from 1939-45 using 367 photographs to complement the narrative. Volume II is a continuation with over 500 photographs, maps and drawings of battles and also the weather conditions the American and Canadian forces faced. This volume also examines the Canol oil line project, the bombing of Dutch Harbor, the numerous air fields and transportation facilities and much more. Stan Cohen founded Pictorial Histories Publishing in 1976. Cohen traveled extensively from his home in Missoula, MT into Alaska, the Yukon, the Aleutiians and Priblof Islands. He was awarded the Contributing to Alaska History award in 2008. ; 8vo .
