Charlottesville, (1969): Published for Randolph-Macon College By the University of Virginia. First Edition. Octavo. . 191 pages, index. Childs joined the United States Foreign Service in 1923. He was the Chargé d'Affaires of Morocco from 1941 to 1945. He served as United States Ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 1946 to 1950 and held a concurrent post as Ambassador to North Yemen. An important section on Zionism, President Truman and the Palestine issue resulting in the United Nation recognition of Israel. A fine copy bound in tan cloth lettered in red, spine lettered in red, in unclipped dust jacket lettered in red and brown, a wrinkle along upper edge of jacket otherwise near fine.
