1888 hardcover as pictured. A nicely made small volume being a ahort biography of the Dutch theologian, Jacobus Arminius/Jakob Hermanszoon (1560-1609). Binding is intact though the front hinge is cracked at title page. Brown cloth boards with gold stamping are lightly soiled and show some fraying at spine and corners. Patterned endpapers. Previous owners' plates on FEP. Includes an engraved frontispiece portrait of Arminius. Tissue guard of same is partially detached. Text appears clean and unmarked. A rare copy, not a reprint.
