VG in cloth (sl stains/rub to covers) 8vo [10],264,[1]pp Author's personal recollections of pioneer life (chiefly in Minnesota, the Dakotas and western Nebraska); particularly notable for the chapter on Wovoka and the Ghost Dance movement, and the frontispiece photograph of the Oklahoma land rush (dated September 16, 1893). Title page and endpiece (decorations) by Hilma Berglund. Exterior as noted; slight internal browning to edges and endpapers.Illustrated by 1 b/w photo (frontis).
