London: Cassell & Company, Limited, 1885. First edition, in a decorative Victorian cloth binding. Story of a fictional English boarding school, illustrated with engravings. Bright red pictorial cloth lettered and decorated in gilt, black and light blue, 376 pages. Light shelf soil and spotting to the covers but design and gilt still bright and clear, minor edge rubbing, good hinges, generally sound text block with a couple of gatherings just a little loosened but not detached, name on reverse side of frontis engraving, pages otherwise clean and unmarked.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
