Dust jacket has light chipping at corners; small chip and tear at foot of front panel; minor smudge on front panel; not price clipped (30/- net). DJ in clear archival sleeve. 374 pp. 8 x 5.5 inches. In the Fog is an astringently comic novel of life in the Bay Area, likely inspired by the author's own experience in the San Francisco real estate industry. The names of places are changed, but identifiable: San Francisco is Portal, Sausalito is Bontempo, Telegraph Hill is Welcome Hill, etc. At the time this was written the author was a resident of Wolfback Ridge in Sausalito. Edmund Witherell "Ted" Nash (1917-2003) American author and editor and nephew of Ogden Nash.
