New York: George H. Doran, 1918. 217 pp, 7 5/8" H. Orange cloth with black lettering on spine, b&w illustration pasted on front board. Ten b&w plates including frontispiece (collated). The fictionalized account of a French poilu's experiences in the Aviation Corps in the First World War. Very light browning to free endpapers and tiny faint foxing marks, several pages with small edge tears at bottom due to opening of pages - archivally taped, small piece missing at bottom edge of page leaf 17/18, light soiling on boards, moderate soiling on spine, very light wrinkling at top bottom of spine, small dent to top edge of pages 75 to 126 - a few small tears archivally taped, dust staining to top of text block, tiny dent on top edge of rear board and on front board, very light edge wear.. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. Illus. by Charles Huard..
