Butter yellow endpapers. 284 pp. Dust jacket matches the book in a lime green with black and green lettering against a beige text block.

EXCERPT FROM THE DUST JACKET: "The Book Society, in the belief that, together, A Ship of the Line and Flying Colours form a major novel of adventure, has prepared for its members this special edition, containing in full the two narratives, of which Sir Hugh Walpole now writes: 'Mr. Forester has given, a reality to...every thread and tackle and sheet and mast and gun that an eighteenth-century ship possessed; he has given a life to all these things quite miraculously.... he is so readable that his other gifts, his admirable English, his truth and simple human beings, are apt to be overlooked."

CONDITION: Shows moderate wear with mild discoloration and light toning throughout with occasional spots throughout. Unmarked. Hinges are strong and binding is sound. Dust jacket shows some discoloration spots and some chipping along with small closed tears along the edges. Both the book and dust jacket are very good. A nice, first edition. Full refund if not satisfied.
