About This Item
Princeton, NJ D. Van Nostrand Co, 1963. Hardcover Book-Club Edition (1963). Very Good+ in Good+ DJ: Book shows indications of very careful use; just a touch of shelving wear to the lower extremities; foxing to the bottom edge of the text block; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean, but there is a former owner's blind stamp at the front free endpaper. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and a couple of minor flaws. The DJ shows moderate wear to the extremities, with a couple of tiny tears at the top edge of the front panel, which also shows heavy foxing to the white background areas; mild rubbing; faint sunning to the green background field of the backstrip (the titles remain bold and clearly legible); the price has been clipped, and the lower corner of the DJ flap has also been clipped, which leads us to assume this is a bookclub edition; mylar-protected. Not unattractive. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.5 x 5.75 x 1 inches). xii, 241 pages. Index. Illustrated with drawings by Darrell Sweet, six color plates among them. Language: English. 17.2 ounces. Book-Club Edition (1963). Hardback with DJ.
