About This Item
London: William Heinemann Ltd, 1953. 1st Edition. Red Boards. Very Good/Very Good Minus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 374pp. A lovely copy of this first edition with wrapper. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine. Slightest of bumps to the lower corners and a slight bump to the tail of the spine. Ink monogram and date inscription to the head of the front end paper. The book is fresh and clean. Dust wrapper not price clipped. Several niks to the head of the spine of the wrapper and a few short tears from the wrapper edges, now repaired with acid free archival tape to the reverse of the wrapper. A little creasing to the wrapper, which appears to be a result of the printing process. Otherwise the wrapper is clean and tight. A very good copy.
