London: Frederick Warne & Co., Ltd., 1937. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Cloth Bound Boards. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 1937 first edition. Size octavo, 7.75" tall, 256 pages plus 16 page publisher's catalogue at the rear. Red cloth covered boards with black titles and border and vignette illustration to the front cover, black titles and vignette of a plane on the spine, with the dust jacket with colour illustrations to the front panel and the spine. With a colour frontispiece illustration of "The Scarlet Eagle" and another plane. Book condition good, corners rubbed and bumped, cloth a little faded, lower edge and head and tail of spine rubbed and a little faded, front paste-down a little wrinkled, a few spots to end-papers, pages are toned otherwise clean, no inscriptions. Dust jacket condition good, a lot of creasing along the top edge with a few nicks and chips, 1x1cm tear with loss at top of spine, closed tear without loss to top edge of spine, chipping to lower edge of spine and front panel, creasing to lower edge of rear panel, dust darkened, price corners has been clipped but I think by the publisher as there is a sticker just above that showing the price 4'- net.
