About This Item
New York: Farrar, Straus and Company, 1955. First American Edition . Hardcover. Fair/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 190pp. Translated by Gerard Hopkins. Bound in original red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Volume a bit cocked, though this isn't terribly offensive. Several tiny wear spots to extremities of covers, with a small discolored area to bottom edge of front board, as well as several faint, very mildly faded areas to cloth. Mild tanning to paper. Text clean. Binding sound. Dust-jacket admits to chipping and tiny tears across extremities, along with some additional wear to remainder of jacket, including a small hole to front panel. Overall, despite wear, remains a good, clean, sound and largely attractive copy
