Presumed first ed.; 319 p., clean and unmarked anywhere on strong paper mildly age-toned; faint staining at edges of front end page; frontis. photo of of antique cookie mold from Switzerland; b&w photos within; creased corners on pp. 205/206 and 207/208 (recipes for conserves and pickles); pencil check marks next to favorite recipes--not distracting and perhaps quite useful; front gutter cracked but binding firm; unfaded red boarss with clear black lettering are bumped at corners and rubbed at crown and foot of spine.
