Toronto: William Briggs, 1919. First edition, containing the most popular poem of the Great War. Dr. McCrae was attached to the British Army's 1st Artillery Brigade on the Ypres Saleint until June 1915, and then made Head of No. 3 General Hospital at Bolougne. Just before his death of pneumonia in January 1918, he was appointed Consulting Physician to the British Armies in France.
