London: Victor Gollancz Ltd., 1936. 351 pp., red cloth with black lettering on spine. 11th impression, November 1936. Map of Galloway on the end papers. Binding is tight, boards are clean and square. First and last few pages and top ege are foxed, toned throughout, one leaf folded, blank verso of rear free end paper has pencil marks. Otherwise the text block is remarkably clean, square and tight. Unclipped dust jacket has price of 2/6 net and boasts it is "First Cheap Edition." Jacket has chips and tears to extremities, partially closed 1" tear on front. Generally toned with pencil markings on front and rear. Now protected in mylar sleeve. Scarce early edition.. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 5" x 7 1/2".
