Red cloth boards with lettering and the children and the Psammead in gilt on front board, and gilt lettering and the Psammead on the spine. Spine is very faded and becoming detached and theris some loss. Corners are bumped Pages are rough cut. Front and rear inner hinges are cracking. Tape repairs to front hinge Scattered light foxing throughout. Hinges are beginning to split. Poor 1904
Synopsis
Five Children and It is a children's novel by Edith Nesbit, first published in 1902; it was expanded from a series of stories published in the Strand Magazine in 1900 under the general title The Psammead, or the Gifts. It is the first of a trilogy.
